This Fund will support a scholarship(s), in honor and memory of W. Kevin O’Donnell, for students who reside in the geographic area of the Hazleton Area School District and plan to study in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Economic Development or a similar field. Scholarships shall be awarded based upon community involvement and academic achievement.
Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a graduating senior who resides within the geographic area of the Hazleton Area School District (Hazleton Area High School, Hazleton Area Academy of the Sciences, Marian Catholic and MMI Prep) Home-schooled students are eligible to apply;
- Must plan to enroll in a 2 or 4-year accredited college, university, or technical school;
- Must be planning to study in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Economic Development, or a similar field;
- Must show demonstrated commitment to community involvement and service;
- Must be a diligent student, working to the best of his/her ability and maintaining at least a 2.75 GPA.
