
Funding the Future: The Luzerne Foundation Nonprofit Accelerator Helps Nonprofits Reach Their Greatest Potential
The Luzerne Foundation is proud to announce the creation of the Nonprofit Accelerator. This teaching and coaching initiative, made possible through a partnership with The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, All One Foundations and Charities, William G. McGowan Charitable Fund, will provide local nonprofits with the tools they need to secure future success.
The Luzerne Foundation Nonprofit Accelerator was developed to provide a cohort of 6 nonprofit organizations with structured coaching and consulting sessions as well as monetary support. The program is designed to connect smaller Northeastern Pennsylvania nonprofits with funding opportunities and give them the means to succeed through a focused mentorship program aimed at alleviating poverty-related issues within our community.
Organizations who wish to be considered for the program are encouraged to check eligibility and apply via the online Letter of Inquiry (LOI) application process by November 14, 2025. The application includes responses to key prerequisite program requirements which align with the foundation’s priorities. Successful applicants will commit to attending a course of monthly classes throughout the year which will feature keynote speakers and local educators. At the conclusion of the program, participating nonprofit organizations will:

*Participation in the Nonprofit Accelerator Program may assist you in learning or reviewing concepts covered on the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) examination as detailed on the Test Content Outline provided by CFRE International. CFRE International does not sponsor or endorse any educational programs and the Nonprofit Accelerator Program was not developed in conjunction with CFRE International.
