The purpose of The In Concert with the Arts Fund (ICWTA) is to cast a spotlight on the importance of the arts of all types. The primary objective is to call attention to the arts; the secondary objective is to raise money for their support. Budget cuts in the Arts, in particular, funding from the National Endowment for the Arts has placed the burden of responsibility on the local arts community. Fundraising is accomplished through benefit concerts whose net proceeds help organizations in need. Additional fundraising efforts may evolve over time.
