Join us in congratulating these remarkable students being honored by the “Here’s to You, Kid!” initiative that highlights good deeds and their contributions to NEPA. Teaming up with the Times Leader Book of Dreams fund of The Luzerne Foundation and Penn State-Wilkes-Barre, they awarded scholarships to standout students. Julie Bower was awarded the $500 book scholarship, while Patricia McAndrew received the $1000 education award. Rachel Malak and Chris Bohinski, along with the selection committee and the vibrant storyteller Iyee Jagne, joyfully announced the winners on PA Live! Julie and Patricia shared their inspiring stories and future aspirations, showcasing their dedication and compassion.
