The Joe and Gloria Lyons Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in loving memory, by Joe and Gloria’s family and friends, to honor and remember their sacrifice, work, service, generosity, and appreciation of education. Joe and Gloria were supportive and proud of their children’s and grandchildren’s academic pursuits and achievements. Joe and Gloria enjoyed meeting new people, especially through their children and grandchildren. They would be happy and proud of this scholarship to help a deserving young person enrolled at Luzerne County Community College (LCCC), where both of their children attended and one grandson received his EMT state certification. This fund will provide an annual award to a hard-working student attending LCCC who is in good academic standing, with financial need and who resides in Luzerne County, PA as determined by The Luzerne Foundation.
